Credentials are designed for professionals with all levels of education. Some can be earned by those with a high school diploma, and occasionally not even a diploma is needed. Have you ever heard of the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification, otherwise known as FPMC? This industry-recognized credential is an important one for foodservice professionals. ServSafe offers a course—both live and online—in food safety best practices. At the end of the course is an exam, and professionals who pass both the course and the exam receive the certification. The program has been active for a hundred years with four million people having been certified.
